Product Description: Neutral Wire Required

A neutral wire allows the switch to be powered while simultaneously allowing the lighting circuit connected to the lights to be powered off. If your house was built in the mid-1980s or later, there is a high chance that you have neutral wires throughout your home, especially if there is an outlet near the switch. Switches that are ganged together also have a higher likelihood of having neutral wires.

To check for a neutral wire, observe all safety precautions, turn off the breaker box, and inspect the wires in the switch box. If you see a white wire (or a group of them), it is very likely that you have a neutral wire. The only way to be absolutely sure is to check the voltage between the white wire and the "hot" (usually black) wire in the box.

How to Pair with the App: 1. Download the app and create an account. 2. Add the device from the upper right corner and select "our switch". 3. Set up the Wi-Fi connection following the app's instructions. 4. Press any of the ON/OFF buttons for 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes fast, indicating a successful reset. 5. (Alternate) When the LED indicator is blinking slowly, press any of the ON/OFF buttons for 5 seconds to enter AP mode, then connect to the "SmartLife-XXX" hotspot.

Note: The smart switch only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and if the network environment changes, you'll need to restore the factory settings and reconnect to the network.

Once connected, you can control the smart switch from anywhere using 4G or 5G Wi-Fi, but make sure to keep it within the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi range.
